Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) are non-profit financial institutions that provide grants, credit, and financial services to low-income, low-wealth, underserved, and over-looked businesses, communities and individuals. They draw on both public and private funding sources such as corporations, philanthropic foundations, and government to serve their communities.
